Still considered by some to be America's greatest overall athlete, Jim Thorpe is one of many legends that are honored in the 1955 Topps All-America set. A precise image of Thorpe in his red and gold Carlisle Indian Industrial School uniform is accentuated by a deep blue backdrop, all of which has retained its pack-fresh boldness without the usual color fade that is common to the series.
