Produced during the 1926-34 period as confirmed by the Spalding center brand stamp, this game-used bat took the field while in the hands of outfielder Fred Nicholson. Although his last major league season was 1922, Nicholson returned a decade later to play for several minor league teams from 1932-35. The dark brown club has heavy taping about 14 inches up the handle with plenty of ball marks, some dead wood on the barrel and "NICHOLSON" displayed in block lettering. A wonderful piece of history from the days of babe Ruth and the resurgence of the Great American Pastime.
