Grover Cleveland Alexander doesn't often get mentioned among the likes of Cy Young, Christy Mathewson or Walter Johnson, but he should. A 28-game winner his 1911 rookie season while leading the league in complete games (31), shutouts (7) and innings pitched (367), Alexander was the most dominant pitcher in baseball from 1915-17, posting a 94-35 record and a 1.54 ERA. More impressively, he won 30 or more games each year and the pitching Triple Crown (wins, ERA and strikeouts) in 1915 and 1916. Only four months before Grover Cleveland Alexander's passing, he graced this envelope with what may very well be the finest signature known to exist. Graded a perfect PSA 10 GEM MINT, the autograph, is large, bold and perfectly delivered from start to finish. This is a piece worthy of display in Cooperstown!
