Taking it to the hoop as a rookie, Hall of Famer Jerry West would soon become the face, and the logo, of the NBA. Chosen #2 overall in the 1960 NBA Draft behind Oscar Robertson, West delivered a stellar 14-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers which included four 30+ points per game seasons while also dealing more than 7 assists and 6 rebounds per contest. This original 8x10 type I photo of West comes from his rookie era, circa 1960-61, and is one of the finer and earliest known professional basketball shots we've ever seen of the hardcourt legend.
