Although this relic has definitely received its share of wear over the course of a lifetime, the signatures of Walter Johnson, Frank Frisch and Pepper Martin give it a distinct character unparalleled to hobby enthusiasts. The Johnson signature is the best of the bunch, easily legible just to the right of the stamp. Full LOA from JSA, though they were unable to date the ball, identify it as a Spalding "DC/LP/NTM" or Double Circle, Large Print, No Trade Mark. Red presidential facsimile stamp dates ball prior to 1925.
