Penned in the bold green ink that is a hallmark of most Ty Cobb handwritten letters, this two page correspondence is completely in the hand of Cobb and addressed to his doctor Gordon Oldham, explaining that although he is feeling well (he had previously been under observation for a heart irregularity), his wife Frances had contracted hepatitis while visiting with friends but he was "in the clear so far." Simply signed "Ty," the letter is accompanied by a wonderful photo of "The Georgia Peach" with the original envelope, also in Cobb's hand, and framed to a size of 33" x 23." ALOA from JSA.
