Offered is an impressive high grade single signed Official National League (ONL) Charles Feeney ball boasting a scintillating signature of Hall Of Fame subject Satchel Paige alone at the top of a side panel. Leroy "Satchel" Paige was the longtime Negro League star who eventually received his due in the majors. He reportedly got his nickname working as a baggage porter in Mobile, Ala., where he became a "satchel tree" by carrying several bags at once.He is perhaps best known for saying: "Don't look back. Something might be gaining on you." This gem was actually one of six "master maxims" which he had printed on his business card. Others sayings included: "Avoid fried meats, which angry up the blood" and "if your stomach disputes you, lie down and pacify it with cool thoughts." The featured collectible displays exceptionally well and is accompanied by an LOA from JSA as well as a full LOA from PSA/DNA- The PSA/DNA LOA does state that their opinion is that four names have been painted over to have the ball present as a single signed ball where as the LOA from JSA does not.
