This is a Pop 2 1951 Bowman Ernie Stautner rookie, a gridiron masterpiece if there ever was one. Four perfectly equidistant borders are accented by unusually incisive corners and edges that present at the GEM MINT level. The reverse is perfectly centered and blemish-free, while the front surface displays some minor pixel-sized print, typical of the issue and mentioned merely for the sake of accuracy. In truth, this sensationally sharp card appears to have missed consideration as just the sixth PSA 10 GEM MINT example from the entire set due to a touch of toning along the left border and an image that appears a fraction of a thin hair's breadth out of register. Among the very first in a long line of defensive HOF pillars for Pittsburgh, this Stautner will be the centerpiece to any advanced Steeler collection.
