It was Dario Franchitti of the Andretti Green team that took the checkered flag at the 2007 Indy 500, and to the winner goes the spoils. Though not selected to be used the championship ring given to Franchitti, this prototype is similar to the real deal and shows "Andretti Green" and "2007" on one side with Franchitti's "27" on the other. The ring originates from the estate of Mr. Robert Joseph Ilg, who had worked as the plant manager for ring manufacturer Herff Jones. Weight is 52 grams. Stamped 10K on the inside, size 15 1/2.
