Extremely similar but not selected as the design for the 2016 Chicago Cubs World Series Championship ring, this large sample was one of the finalists for the Chicago champs. The right side of the ring has "Zobrist" and "18" for the team's starting 2nd baseman, and engraved on the inside are the results of each series in the playoffs. The ring originates from the estate of Mr. Robert Joseph Ilg, who had worked as the plant manager for ring manufacturer Herff Jones. Weight is 136 grams, tested at 14K gold, size 10 1/4.
