Having seen his home run total in 1958 drop to "just" 30 round-trippers from 44 the year before, the always competitive Hank Aaron felt he had something to prove. And he did, ending the 1959 season with 39 homers and a .355 batting average, earning his second National League batting title. The offered card presents as a visual feast for the eyes with a perfectly centered image that is sharply focused as well. The four corners are at the top end of the NM/MT grade.
