Just embarking on his storied Hall of Fame career, Walter Payton expressed an eagerness to destroy the rushing records of all that suited up before him and did a pretty good job of it. A beautiful head and shoulders image is near-perfectly framed on this 1976 Topps football rookie card with borderline MINT endpoints that have aptly placed at a grade of SGC 8 NM/MT.
