Offered is one of the more esoteric releases from the 1950's, the American Motors Home Run Derby set. In 1959, baseball’s home run derby was a corporate-sponsored syndicated show taped in the off-season. The 1959 Home Run Derby set features 19 players from the made-for-TV show, along with the host Mark Scott. Today, it’s one of the most rare and valuable post-World War II sets. Here is the near-complete set, missing Hank Aaron and led by Mickey Mantle (PSA 3) with the others graded as follows: PSA 6 - Boyer, Post, and Mathews. PSA 5 - Kaline. PSA 4.5 - Triandos. PSA 4 - Allison, Jensen, Lemon, and Mays. PSA 3 - Snider. PSA 2 - Banks, Colavito (MK), Hodges, and Killebrew. PSA 1 (MK) - F. Robinson. Also Dick Stuart SGC 30 GOOD 2, Scott SGC 20 FAIR 1.5, and Cerv BVG 4.
***CORRECTION*** ... The description above has been revised to show that the collection includes 19 of the 20 cards in the set, needing Hank Aaron for completion.
