You might be familiar with Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy's accomplishments on the hardwood, but did you know he was also a world class baton twirler? Yep, he says he got "bullied into it" by his mom and six sisters, and in 1977, at the height of his career with the Houston Rockets, he won the Texas State Men's Twirling Championship. He is depicted here on his rookie card from the 1970-71 Topps basketball release, in the alluring grade of MINT 9 as determined by the stringent evaluators at SGC.
