Whoever was responsible at the Red Heart Dog Food company for compiling the list of subjects for it's 33-card inaugural baseball card set should be commended! The set is loaded with stars and future Hall of Famers, and the fact that Stan Musial is in the set when neither Topps nor Bowman, the two reigning behemoths of baseball card production, could land him, speaks volumes! According to the Man himself, neither of those two companies wanted to pay him what he asked, but Red Heart was more than willing to get out the checkbook! The offered example of Musial has been graded NM/MT 8 by PSA, and offers a stunning blood-red backdrop with a captivating image and corners that easily meet the standards for the grade. To date, just 10 examples have graded higher.
