Closing out this run of NM/MT 8 specimens from the famed 1954 Red Heard Dog Food issue is Hall of Famer Enos "Country" Slaughter, graded by SGC. The ten-time All Star and four-time world champion finished his lengthy career with a batting average of precisely .300 and is fondly remembered for his "Mad Dash" play in the seventh game of the 1946 World Series, scoring from first on a hit by Harry Walker.
