It may not be the most sought-after basketball card ever produced (that honor belongs to a guy named Jordan), but has there ever been a grander display of hardcourt star power on a sports card than the debut pasteboard of Hall of Famers Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, with special appearance by "Dr. J" Julius Erving? The answer is no. Here's a beauty that has two characteristics that are usually lacking, which is why it was able to earn an impressive BVG 8.5 NM/MT+ grade; excellent centering and an absence of the usual print dust that clouds the images of the three hardwood icons. You could easily argue that three of the four endpoints are MINT, and with the bold color and impressive reverse that this one possesses, you'd be wise to lock down this card that on another day, could easily have found its way into a MINT holder.
