Hall of Famer Gordon S. "Mickey" Cochrane offers his signature across the sweet spot of this OAL (Harridge) ball, in what appears to be blue ball point ink. The stampings on the Harridge ball point to the 1952-59 period, the last model under the Harridge presidency. The inspiration for Mickey Mantle's naming, Cochrane is considered to be one of the best catchers in history, both offensively and defensively, as attested to by his career .320 batting average.
