Nicely centered across the sweet spot of this well-weathered baseball, the bright blue ball-point pen signature of Detroit Tigers superstar Hank Greenberg dominates the surface. Before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier, it was Greenberg receiving threats and taunts, not of racial bigotry but of religious antisemitism. And setting the model for Jackie, Greenberg handled it with poise and Hall of Fame caliber ability. A three-time American League home run champion who flirted with knocking off Babe Ruth's single-season mark when he hit 58 round-trippers in 1938, the two-time AL MVP also topped the .300 mark in each of the first eight seasons of his career. A wonderful piece of memorabilia and very difficult to obtain! LOA from from both PSA/DNA and JSA.
