The Commerce Comet connected with the first pitch thrown to him in the bottom of the ninth in Game 3 of the 1964 World Series, driving the ill-advised knuckleball from Barney Schultz deep into the night, and with that, the Yankees led the series 2 games to 1. The moment is preserved for prosperity on card #134 of the 1965 Topps issue, an example of which is offered here in PSA 9 MINT condition. Just 10 examples have graded higher, and if the centering placement were slightly more accurate on this one, there's a good chance it would have joined those ranks.
