Fresh off of the 1954 campaign which saw his New York Giants win the World Series in a four-game sweep over the Cleveland Indians, famed twirler Johnny Antonelli is the subject of the offered 1955 Red Man Tobacco card, tab still intact and graded NM/MT+ 8.5 by PSA. With a crisply detailed image set against a pleasing pastel backdrop, a very light touch to the lower left endpoint prevents MINT 9 assessment, but visual appeal is tremendous, and to date, just 4 examples have graded higher.
