The first true legend of "the sweet science", "The Boston Strong Boy" John L. Sullivan amassed an impressive 40-1 record with 34 knockouts, including a 75-round knockout of Jack Kilrain. Sullivan appears on this 19th-century cabinet card, the best one we've come across at PSA 4, sporting a well-dressed Sullivan in a time period photo that is mounted onto a thick cardboard backing. This original 4 1/4" x 6 1/2" cabinet card includes an extensive biography on the reverse. A great relic for the vintage boxing collector.
