Akin to baseball's T206 set, the hockey world entered the sports card market with the legendary C56 Imperial Tobacco series, a collection that features such legends as Art Ross and Newsy Lalonde. This example is of Riley Hern, a Hall of Fame goaltender that played professionally from 1901-1911. The card understandably has rounded corners commensurate with the grade but the image color is vivid and the centering is outstanding overall.
