One of our favorite cards from the groundbreaking 1952 Topps set features Paterson, NJ raised Hall of Famer, Larry Doby, in a stern and statuesque pose perfectly appropriate for the first man to break the color barrier in the American League. Surpassed by only 6 examples on record from nearly 660 submissions, this recently graded PSA 8 NM/MT copy could easily hang with those superior 6, at least in terms of uncirculated pack-freshness. Sound NM/MT+ corners join NM/MT edges around a fairly well-centered NM/MT obverse.
