Inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame both as a player and a coach, Bill Sharman comprised half of what many consider to be the best backcourt in the game's history, with Bob Cousy of the Boston Celtics. He also spent six seasons in the Brooklyn Dodgers minor league system, actually being called up in late 1951 but never appearing in a game. A fine example of his 1957 Topps rookie card is offered here, graded NM/MT 8 by PSA. To date, just six examples have grade higher at the Newport Beach evaluation firm.
