Known as an exceptional football announcer, Pat Summerall dove into professional football as a defensive end and kicker with the Detroit Lions. Here he is as a member of the Chicago Cardinals, poised and ready to make a play of this 1955 Bowman card, graded PSA 8. The corners appear MINT overall, raising the total grade by canceling out the all too common centering shift toward the southeast corner. The color and clarity of the central image are virtually perfect.
