After going with little known Andy Pafko to lead off their inaugural issue, Jackie Robinson was selected to represent the first card in the 1953 Topps set. This example bears the grade of EX 5 as determined by PSA, yet still presents with strong visual appeal due to the bold colors and lustrous gloss. This one exhibits some wear to the corners and a common centering shift but the standards for the given grade are easily met. A nice example of an iconic #1 card from a vastly popular set.
