The 1963 Chicago Cubs finished the season 82-80 but were way down in 7th place in the National League as teams feasted on the lowly Pirates, Astros, and Mets. While it wasn't a season to remember for the Cubbies, the lineup was quite extraordinary as four of the eight regulars went on to Hall of Fame status. The featured baseball is the most pristine 1963 Cubs team signed ball that we've ever seen and includes picture-perfect pennings of the four Cooperstown immortals (Santo on the sweet spot, B. Williams, Brock, and Banks). It also includes the very difficult signature of Ken Hubbs, who passed away in February 1964 in a plane crash. The ball is a creamy white and the signatures are mostly "8-9" strength. Other signatures include Grammas, Burke, Ellsworth, Koonce, Toth, Landrum, Brewer, Ranew, Baker, Jackson, Mathews, Rodgers, Boros, Schaffer, Elston, McDaniel, Bertell, Kennedy and Burton. LOA from PSA/DNA.
