After getting their feet wet in the baseball card market for a few seasons, the Topps Company made its first major foray onto the gridiron since the relatively inconsequential Felt Backs and Magic issues of the early '50s with the 1955 Topps All-American issue. The set features 100 cards of the greatest college football players of all time with memorable issues of Jim Thorpe, Knute Rockne, Red Grange, The Four Horsemen (Notre Dame's 1924 backfield), and former Supreme Court Justice, Whizzer White, as well as a lengthy list of challenging short-printed rookies and Hall of Famers. Offered here is a complete 100-card collection with several key cards graded by SGC (#12 Graham SGC 7 and 68 Four Horseman SGC 5) and PSA (#6 Kinnick, 27 Grange, 37 Thorpe, 66 Kinard, and 84 Parker, all PSA 6). The rest of the collection is equally 20% EX/MT, 40% EX, 30% VG/EX and 10% lower overall with #1 Hickman EX, 16 Rockne EX, 20 Baugh EX/MT (OC), 21 White (correct) EX, 52 Lujack VG/EX+, 97 Hutson VG/EX, and 100 Henry VG+.
