One of the scarcer regional issues in the hobby, the Wilson Franks cards produced in 1954 were only distributed throughout the midwest, and despite a small find originating from the son of the set's lithographer, they remain incredibly difficult to find. Offered here is a sharp-looking example of Dodgers backstop Roy Campanella, graded VG+ 3.5 by PSA but presenting at a higher level. A light wrinkle in the upper right quadrant accounts for the technical assessment, but the highly detailed image of the Hall of Famer is unaffected, and both surfaces appear devoid of the typical product staining that plagues the issue.
