Quick. Without looking it up, tell me who the Philadelphia Warriors were playing against 58 years ago when Wilt Chamberlain dropped an NBA-record 100 points. If that's not enough of a challenge, go ahead and name at least two players on the opposing roster, and try to make one of them the man who started the game matched up against the Big Dipper. It's tough, isn't it? We've been trained to hear Wilt's name and immediately think about the triple-digit figure he posted in the scoring column on March 2, 1962, but we overlook the details—details that take away from the achievement, controversial as that may be. The answers to the challenges, by the way, are as follows. Wilt was playing against the New York Knicks, a team that entered the game with a 27-45 record and would go on to occupy the second-worst spot in the standings. Willie Naulls and Richie Guerin were the biggest names of that putrid bunch, but the man guarding Wilt was Darrall Imhoff. Offered is without hesitation the finest PSA NM/MT+ 8.5 on the planet and for the life of me I truly haven't a clue as to how this card isn't in a PSA MINT 9 holder and for that matter a candidate for a GEM MINT 10 designation. Four utterly flawless corners that each come to exact ninety degree angle with no hint of wear present at any of the four pillars of perfection. The centering is precise with pure white borders framing a terrifically colorful of a young "Big Dipper." The surface is awash in a scintillating layer of gloss that exudes perfection. The reverse is presented on a ever so slightly cream colored stock with no staining to be encountered. We have sold plenty of MINT 9 examples of this card and I can truly tell you that none of those examples compared with the offered copy. Offered in exceptionally strong NM/MT+ condition that we will trump and call MINT!
