Looking to beat the throw to the plate, the strained expression on Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle's face wasn't exactly "The Commerce Comet" at his most dashing moment. But it does make for a nice action shot as this original type I photo has the New York Post stamp and July 12, 1965 caption on the reverse. The photo measures 8" x 8 1/2" and appears to be cropped at one edge but is in EX/MT condition with only minor creases and blemishes.
