Up next is a collection of (11) rookie-era cards of former Yankees captain and newly elected Hall of Famer Derek Jeter, all but one of which have been graded MINT 9 by PSA. After the Houston Astros passed on Jeter with the first round of the 1992 draft in favor of Phil Nevin, causing Astros scout Hal Newhouser to leave his position in protest, the Yankees scooped him up with the sixth pick, and the rest, as they say, is history.
