Having acquired the Bowman company, Topps came through with its first standard NFL set in 1956 and succeeded in creating a product that was quite different in design than their baseball card issue of the same year. The offered complete set is almost exclusively GOOD to VG+ with a few outliers that are slightly higher or lower with: #1 Carson GOOD, 6 Van Brocklin VG, 9 Groza VG+ (OC), 53 Gifford VG, 58 Matson VG, 60 Moore VG+ (OC), 74 Nomellini VG, 86 Tittle VG/EX (OC), and 100 Perry VG+.
