Featured is an original team photograph of 1953-54 Cuban League champions Club Almendares, the first of back-to-back championships and the 21st in team history. This photo features Connie Marrero who pitched for the Washington Senators from 1950-1954 and holds the Cuban League single-season records for shutouts (8) and ERA (1.12). The item shows peripheral wear with a couple of small tears and paper bends but the central image remains strong with excellent color, contrast and clarity.
