Bowman produced two distinct player sets in 1953, one color and one black and white. This group of 39 cards features examples from both with some solid Hall of Fame power included. From the black and white collection, there are seven cards, FAIR to VG, with #39 Stengel VG. The 32 color cards are mostly VG to VG/EX, some lower, with #10 Ashburn VG/EX, (2) 40 Doby VG+ and FAIR, 51 Irvin POOR, 57 Boudreau GOOD, 65 Roberts GOOD, 81 Slaughter VG, 101 Schoendienst VG and 153 Ford GOOD.
