Originally planned for July 4th, 1941, the Yankees brass organized a memorial in honor of their fallen "Iron Horse" who had passed a month earlier. Rain delayed the event until July 6th, on which day thousands of fans filled the stadium so see the retirement of his uniform #4. Offered is a truly wonderful keepsake from that important day of tribute, a ticket stub proudly proclaiming the day's purpose along with a rather well-printed version of one of his most famous images.
