The 1933 Goudey set is jam-packed with legendary Hall of Famers, and one of the tougher ones to nail down in a PSA 8 holder is card #220 of Robert "Lefty" Grove. Grove was a sandlot star discovered by the owner of the independent Baltimore Orioles, Jack Dunn, and played for his minor league team for four seasons, posting league leads in wins, strikeouts, and ERA. Dunn sold Grove's rights to the Philadelphia A's for a then record sum of $100,500.00. The featured card easily supports the NM/MT 8 assessment by PSA with four stunning upper-end corners as well as fresh overall appearance. A key card for an elite set!
