Any collector who has a 1961 Topps set on the PSA Set Registry knows how difficult the Whitey Ford card is in PSA 9. While Hall of Famers tend to have more submissions and, thus, more opportunities for high-grades, PSA reports just a total of 8 specimens at PSA 9 with none graded higher out of over 1,300 submissions. This tremendous pasteboard shows untouched corners and edges with a moderate rough cut on the vertical edges and a clean background that is unhampered by stray print snow, while the shimmering layer of gloss truly highlights the surface. One of the toughest cards in the set!
