Graded NM 7 by PSA. Amazingly, the offered card stands as 1 of just 6 total examples from the entire set that has ever been graded NM 7 with none graded higher! E cards were, at one time, referred to as "poor man's tobacco cards" and looked down upon amongst enthusiasts; my how things have changed! Caramel cards are notoriously condition-sensitive as they were retrieved by kids who, unlike adults, poured over the cardboard likenesses of the stars of the diamond. Many times, this resulted in cards that more often portrayed pinwheels with severe creasing the norm. Not here, the offered subject appears at the very top of the heap when compared to its caramel card brethren. Exceptionally well-centered with deep, entrancing colors as well as a freshness virtually never encountered with E cards. The four corners are unusually sharp and come within the proverbial eyelash of inclusion in a more advanced assessment, while the reverse is a splendidly printed text with a very slight remnant of caramel staining, assuring its new owner of its original state.
