Graded GEM MINT 10 by PSA. The featured collectible is just 1 of 2 copies that has received the hallowed grade of GEM MINT 10 by PSA, a fact all the more stunning when one considers that 3,630 examples of this card have been graded by PSA. Those familiar with the issue should immediately recognize how utterly spectacular the obverse appears. So immeasurably bold and precise is the image quality, in fact, that even a "citizen," i.e. a non-card person, could easily differentiate this sublime, wet-looking pinnacle of perfection from the untold thousands of inferior specimens, both on record and off. Particularly prominent throughout the obverse is the pristine 100% saturation of the salmon colored pink ink of the image border, the text, and the character in the upper right portion . Like a stamp of approval on perfection, the pitch-black border shows not even a single one of those pesky fish eyes or print bubbles so characteristic of the issue. The interior countenance of the Texas flamethrower balances a perfectly vivid image of the stands behind the legend with the blue and white hued image of Ryan in the New York Mets home jersey. The deep purple of the name circle in the upper right portion of the card is as dark and well struck as I have ever encountered. The centering is pure delight with no thought of a tilt or diamond cut to be encountered on this spectacular masterpiece. Each of the four corners come to exact points with absolutely no thought of wear encountered. Without question the offered spectacle is the finest 1969 Topps Nolan Ryan I have ever encountered and is being made available in jaw dropping and utterly impressive GEM MINT condition.
