Presented is a very alluring baseball card from the elusive and popular high-number series of the 1952 Topps issue. A bold, majestic purple background acts as the perfect canvas for the backdrop of Ben Chapman's image, which displays with focus and clarity more than sufficient for the NM/MT grade. Corners and edges appear in-line for the grade, and the surface is clean and devoid of any readily visible print marks. A very marginal centering inclination for the northwest must be the stumbling block to a higher grade, but overall visual appeal is in no way hindered by this. Only 3 have graded higher at PSA.
