Even with superstars Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Duke Snider and Gil Hodges in the Brooklyn lineup, it has always been Pee Wee Reese who was considered the heart and soul of those great Dodger squads. During his 13 full seasons as the Dodgers shortstop, Reese finished in the top 10 of the N.L. MVP voting 8 times! And even after missing three full seasons due to World War II, Reese still collected 2,170 career hits. Presented is Pee Wee Reese's very challenging 1952 Topps high-numbered card, graded PSA 7. This card is nicely centered given the high-numbers' reputation for poor centering, with light touches to the four square corners commensurate with the grade. A very desirable specimen from the enticing 1952 Topps set.
