Presented is a perfectly centered Don Newcombe card from the vastly popular 1951 Bowman release. This example offers supremely focused horizontal image, situated among uniform, smooth white borders. The multiple shades of blue retain their original bold freshness, with such precise detail that the viewer is almost able to make out the facial features of the lone attendee in the stands above the Dodger hurler's glove. Extremely light age toning is present on the right side of the reverse, but obviously does not detract from the overall visual appeal of this magnificent pasteboard. This is 1 of only 6 in the grade from a total of 230 submissions.
