Born Aloisius Szymanski in Milwaukee, WI., Simmons changed his name after it was butchered far to often by the media. Known by the moniker "Bucketfoot Al" in reference to his stepping in the proverbial bucket when striding into a pitch. Simmons was a .334 lifetime batter who drove in an amazing 165 runs and scored 152 runs in 1930. Surpassed on the PSA "Pop Report" by a mere four examples the offered card will bolster even the finest of collections.
