The Sporting Life newspaper issued 13" x 14" team composites from the years 1902 through 1910. All composites were printed on heavy enamel paper and sold for 6 cents worth of stamps, or 50 cents for a dozen prints. The composites feature player portraits surrounding a centered portrait of the teams manager. This 1905 New York Highlanders composite features Hall of Fame pitcher/manager Clark Griffith in the center, with Hall of Fame pitcher Jack Chesbro and Hall of Fame outfielder Willie Keeler among the 18 players. In addition, the premiere first baseman of the era and gambler/game fixer Hal Chase is in the composite. The composite reads "Cleveland American League Baseball Club 1903." This composite displays in Excellent shape, with a few minor wrinkles, and is matted and framed to a size of 16" x 16," and ready for immediate display.
