Issued after "Dem Bums" won the 1955 National League Pennant and before they went on to challenge the vaunted New York Yankees in the fall classic. Brooklynites had to be thinking to themselves "here we go again" and "wait till next year" as the perennial bridesmaids faced another challenge from the team from the Bronx. However, this was next year as the Dodgers captured their first World Championship in 1955. Offered is a truly stunning and scarce pennant from the tremendous 1955 season which was issued after the team had captured the National League crown making it infinitely scarcer than the World Series pennant which obviously had a much longer shelf life than the offered pennant. Overall condition is about EX with three small tack holes at the extreme corners with a better eye appeal.
