This lot is an unopened 500 count vending box from the colorful 1975 set. Directly pulled from a sealed case, this vending box was shipped to the leading sports card authenticator, GAI, for grading and certification. One of the best sets from the decade of the 1970s, the colored, flush-to-the-border design of the 1975 Topps set makes this issue particularly challenging to collect in extremely high grade. The rookie card craze which dominated the late 1980's-early 1990s collecting genre was centered on the 1975 Topps set. At that time current players such as George Brett, Robin Yount and Jim Rice were finishing up their Hall of Fame careers, and the escalating value of rookie cards was in high gear. This lot includes 500 possible MINT to GEM MINT cards. While we cannot state with certainty, it seems highly probable that this unopened vending box contains numerous cards, both stars and commons, that would be ideal candidates for professional grading. A 1975 Topps unopened vending box from a sealed case, grade by GAI NM-MT 8.
