As the Spring of 1949 rolled around the Bowman Gum release had to be the talk of the neighborhood kids, when contrasted against the crude and relatively unattractive skip numbered and confusing 1948-49 Leaf issue as well as the 48 card black and white effort from Bowman the previous year. Bright bold attention commanding colors dominated the card fronts with color enhanced photographs of the legendary ballplayers pictured on each of the pasteboards. Offered here is a thoroughly complete #4 All Time Finest Master Set that rates an attention commanding 7.74 overall GPA. A perusal of the set by flipping through the cards that are contained within their PSA tombs reveals much more than its assigned GPA.
