Presented is a stunning mid to high grade 1957 Topps basketball set, each card PSA graded. The 1957 Topps basketball issue remains one of the most troubling issues when it comes to attaining high grade specimens. Encountered at about 1/50th the rate of the baseball cards from the same year, it seems as though the basketball issue is routinely plagued by horrible centering as well as an unusually large amount of print snow on the front of the cards. The offered set is nearly predominantly graded an amazing unqualified PSA 6 EX/MT throughout, including keys such as Russell, Cousy, and #1 Clifton, with merely 16 subjects graded otherwise. Those cards are the following PSA 7 NM: #24 (Pettit), 55 and 57. PSA 6.5 EX/MT+: #63 and 70. PSA 5 EX: #5, 6, 7, 16, 42, 43, 53, 64, and 73. PSA 4 VG/EX: #40 and 79. A stunning and impressive set that features the rookie cards of Hall Of Famers Russell, Cousy, Sharmon, Arion, Shayes, Heinsohn, Hagan, and Lovellette, amongst others.
NOTE: This description has been updated from the catalog to reflect #24 Pettit in a PSA 7 NM.
